Old Cranbrookians' Association Scholarship and Bursary Fund
Each year, the Old Cranbrookians’ Association Scholarship and Bursary Fund provides a discretionary half scholarship to two or three boys (whether or not they are the son of an old boy) for the duration of their education at Cranbrook, on the basis of merit or for reasons of equity.
The Fund was established in 2006 with the Old Cranbrookians’ Association providing the initial endowment. The OCA continues to contribute to the fund on an annual basis. Eight boys have received the half scholarship since inception.
Following a selection process, applicants who are deemed worthy will be invited to meet with a selection panel. The panel consists of the Headmaster, the directors of the scholarship trustee Anthony Lees (1972) and James Sheller (1987) and such members of the OCA Committee who wish to be on the panel.
To ensure that the scholarship can be awarded in perpetuity, the support of the Old Cranbrookians community is needed. In 2016 the Directors of the trustee resolved that the corpus of the fund be increased over the next five years. This will enable boys, who would not otherwise have the opportunity, to attend Cranbrook School. All donations over $2 are fully tax deductible for Australian taxpayers.
If you would like to contribute to this Scholarship Fund, please contact the Alumni Office or Anthony Lees.
